I do love beating Louisville and Bobby Petrino. UL fan base and players talk so much shit for a program that has won nothing, and Petrino is just a miserable person. It was good to see the stadium empty out in the 3rd quarter last night.
Kelly Bryant is slowly starting to win me over, we'll see in the coming weeks how this goes.

You sound crazy. Far behind? when to take a chance?.. did you ERASE two weeks ago from you memory... Beyond that, Rosen has played more consistently, hands down. Look they're both legit franchise prospects. but you take the inflated 50+ attempts and 4th quarter star wars stuff -- and look at both thru an NFL lense? 30-35 attempts, games not running up into the 40 burgers? Cmon.... Is someone going to seriously tell me that Darnold can read defenses better than Rosen at this point? I'm just saying, it's nowhere near as black and white as you're letting on Darnold is head and shoulders the best QB prospect. Josh Rosen is pretty far behind cause he seems to lack instincts as to when it is OK to take a chance.I tend to agree that Darnold isn't head and shoulders above Rosen right now. People react too much on a week to week basis with this stuff. I still take Darnold over Rosen but it's not this huge gap between them. You give Rosen the running game, O line and receivers that USC has, and people wouldn't be making such claims. But your boy Lamar last night, he's still showing why I can't take him seriously as a legit NFL prospect.

So my old roommate from Clemson has been involved with the Nike Elite 11 and The Open QB competitions for years now. I often reference the prospects I see there and have had some really good access to the camps over the years. It's pretty impressive watching these 16 to 18 year old kids compete and get evaluated at a pretty high level, and then try to project them not only at the college level but as Future NFL prospects. So NFL Network has finally picked up on this and is airing a documentary on this process. Check it out it's pretty interesting especially if you enjoy evaluating the QB position. Thanks for the heads up and I finally got the chance too watch the first episode. I don't say this often but NFL Network is doing a great job with this series. Can't wait till next week. My darkhorse is that Florida commit. Also found it interesting that 80% of todays starters attended the camp.....almost mind blowing. I don't think people realize how many NFL QBs have come through this program. It's probably because these kids are in high school and not even in college yet, so it's over-looked, but it is fun to see all these top prospects on the field together and dealing with situations designed to make them feel uncomfortable. Say what you want about Trent Dilfer as an NFL QB, but he knows the QB position and has a passion for developing these young guys. I think he does a tremendous job with this program and the more exposure it gets, the better. Matth Corral, the Florida commit looked good, I won't play spoiler, just say that he did have a great showing. He was actually a USC commit earlier in the process but McElwain lured him away. My guy Trevor Lawrence certainly looks the part doesn't he? I watched a game of his a couple weeks ago on ESPN and he was near perfect. This kid is built like a man already, I can't wait to see him in camp next year at CU.

I'd rather just end Thursday night games altogether. Saturday nights are meant for college football which is a much better product. I also wonder if the NFL would even want to go up against a normal Saturday night of college football. Put a matchup like last night's game up against Clemson - Louisville this Saturday and it would probably be destroyed in the ratings. NFL ratings would still vastly out-perform college on a nationwide basis, but Saturday night is typically the worst TV viewing night of the week so the NFL won't go there for an entire season. Thursday night used to have some of the best college match ups of the week, it WAS a premium slot for big games, now it's an after-thought and a filler for mid-major games and power 5 teams playing FCS or bottom of the conference teams. It's a shame because you end up having too many great games being played at the same time. Look at last week, you had Clemson/Auburn, USC/Stanford, Ohio State/Oklahoma and Notre Dame/Georgia all playing in the same Saturday night window. That fucking sucks. Without Thursday night college football is forced to play everything on a Saturday, and you only have two decent viewing windows, 3;30 and 8pm. I despise the NFL for forcing all this down our throats.

Also, clench your collective anuses and pray to God that in the next few weeks the Colts don't do some shit like announce that Luck is headed to the IR. Those assholes might not win a single game this season without him behind center. Agreed. If Luck misses the next 4 games and the Colts are 0-5 then that scenario is very real. Why bring him back in a lost season and risk further damage to him. The Jets can not screw this up, they can not draft lower than second next year. They do not have the draft collateral that San Fran and Buffalo has, and the cost to trade up next year is going to be ungodly high.

If he is very good attacking, then how can the coaching staff exploit his strengths and utilize that? Part of the problem is the nose tackle (McLendon). McLendon is supposed to be tying up OL so that the ILB can shoot gaps. McLendon played like absolute dogshit, thereby allowing the OL to get to the second level and take Lee out of the play. The staff can either have Lee sit back and analyze what is going on in front of him or they can just tell him to attach a pre-determined gap. They are better off doing the letter because he takes too long to diagnose plays. Here's my biggest problem with Lee, he was supposed to be this athletic LB who was going to cover RBs and TEs, something the Jets have not had in a long time. Maccagn drafts this under-sized ILB, tells us how much of a freak athlete he is and how great it will be to have a true 3 down ILB. But he absolutely sucks in coverage and is totally lost when it comes to recognizing anything in the passing game. Add Lee to likes of Milliner, Coples, Wilson etc..etc first round picks who never get past their rookie deals.

If they hire another D-Co I may officially be done forever with this team. I'll never be done with this team, but this is the least I've followed the NFL. My friends bring up players and Idk who they're playing for because I don't care. It was kind of nice this last Sunday. I didn't get mad, I was laughing, and only got anxious when Buffalo tried to give us the win. Agreed, I pay far more attention to the college game.

Kinda funny listening to Rex call a game where Melvin Ingram is running around making plays.

Me too, you would think that having the first overall pick in a QB rich draft and a shit ton of cap space would be able to attract a decent GM/HC combo. It absolutely should. The GM/HC job for the jets next year should attract some of the best names but Woody loves his up and coming D Coordinators. If they hire another D-Co I may officially be done forever with this team.

I'm really beginning to think that Maccagnan will fuck this all up next year if he is here. I'm hopeful it gets so bad, so fast that Woody dumps both of them. They were both the wrong hires and it's so apparent to anyone but the biggest homer. Me too, you would think that having the first overall pick in a QB rich draft and a shit ton of cap space would be able to attract a decent GM/HC combo.

Cook vs Maye Hunt vs Steward YOU TELL ME WHY WE SUCK Hunt was the poor mans Dalvin Cook, even if you pass on Cook you would think Hunt in the 3rd would be exceptional value as well.

We hate drafting anybody on offense. It's pathetic. I'm pretty sure 75% of the posters on this forum, even the ones that don't follow college football a lot could do a better job drafting. Two of our best picks fell into our laps. If a pick requires thinking we fuck it up. Seriously, Leo and Adams were total no-brainers. Other than that Maccagnan has been dreadful.

Well Cook certainly looked like a second round bargain tonight. He may have dropped a couple passes but, his blitz pick up and blocking was outstanding for a rookie in his first game. He sure looks the part and his conditioning doesn't seem like such a question mark anymore. It's OK though because we drafted another safety. But he had those off field issues, meanwhile the Jets had what? 5 guys arrested or suspended this year? I'm really beginning to think that Maccagnan will fuck this all up next year if he is here. I have this premonition that Mike Glennon is going to be the Jets QB next year if Maccagnan is still around.

I'll say this, if the Jets happen to get a Rosen or Darnold with the first or second pick, they better draft a ton of o line help AND spend a ton of free agent dollars on more o linemen. This isn't an over-exaggeration either, I don't care if I have to play WR for this team...Lol. Priority one is protecting this kid.
