Sounds a lot like Mo has some unrealistic expectations and he may end up standing in his own way. I agree. He's having a hard time sitting around and watching other players sign deals, but he can't live by carriously through them. vicariously or bicuriously?

Wilkerson Williams Snacks Richardson Coples
Rotate Harris and Davis
Revis Skrine Cro
Gilchrist/Allen Pryor

Richardson ranked #55 in the top 100 NFL players by peers; Wilkerson ranked #74. Interesting that Wilkerson's peers see Richardson as the better player, at least this season.
I tend to think that Wilkerson (and/or his agent) has an overinflated view of his worth under a new contract. I also think that the Jets would like to retain Wilkerson but not at any cost. Wilkerson will almost certainly skip the mandatory camp and will be fined for it, and I think a deal may not be done with Wilkerson until late this season. Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets apply the franchise tag to him next off-season.

That said, I think Richardson is the better player and I hope he retires a Jet. Wilk will get done, but not without some pulling from both sides.

This is Mac's first major negotiation/extension so he knows all eyes in the org and around the league will be on him and how he handles it. That being said, he will take his time as he truly doesn't HAVE to do anything. He already had leverage and after the draft he has even more. I expect Mo to perhaps hold out into the mandatory camp at which time a deal will be struck and the fines waived. However, he isn't getting a $40M deal.
