Yep, exactly. His point has been made and the org knows where he stands. Now they just have to compromise.

Just 'do your job' as they say. hueheuheu I never doubted that the guy wouldn't show....he has consistently said in the past that he would not hold out. Not showing up to "voluntary" workouts...makes the point...but it's not a hold out. Just more of the media trying to make something a bigger deal then it is. When the media reports on Goodell acting as the judge in the Deflategate appeal...the media points out that the players allowed this in the current CBA. Well the same holds true for voluntary OTAs - the ownership allowed this in the CBA so there should be no one complaining when a player doesn't show up.

I'm pumped about Wilkerson coming to the minicamp. My guess (only a guess, since none of us truly know) is that Wilk's agents would love for him to hold out until a deal is struck even though he is currently under contract. Revis set precedent enough for this model. It is possible that Wilk overruled his agents in order to attend minicamp and that would speak highly to his integrity in keeping his earlier promises as well as his intention to be a tough but reasonable negotiator. Clearly this is all in my imagination and also on the optimistic side; nonetheless it is plausible and I AM stoked.

Was feeling pretty optimistic after the reports earlier this AM.

I honestly think he will be at training camp. If he doesn't show up he will send a bad vibe to the team and/or potential suitors should the Jets decide to trade him.

"we" means that indeed, Mo says yes, agents advise no. I'm hoping that Mo is the boss of his agents (not the other way around). It will be great if he's in minicamp.

I thought some here were saying Mo is just out training himself?
Obviously sitting out is not to train, it's he and his agent letting the Jets know they want MORE
Say what you want.....but anytime a player sits out for monetary reasons rather than being with his team mates shows really what kind of leader we have. I remember when Mangold wasn't happy about his deal.....he sucked it up and made his way to camp. No sitting out or missing meeings or OTA's Mo is nothing more than Revis.....a greedy player that talks a lot of being a team leader, then when the time comes up to prove it, he's just like most of the others
I hope The Jets stand firm with this guy.........See what we can get for him when we franchise him next off season

Mo has repeatedly said he would never hold out. He's missed VOLUNTARY OTAs and you automatically label him as a greedy player. He has every right not to attend and I guarantee you his teammates don't care that he's not there.

Has Mo missed any voluntary practices up to this point of his career?
The Jets won't nor should they negotiate with Mo until after the season. Tag him, and trade him if need be. It will be awfully nice having 2 #1's next year when an awesome crop of QB's come out next year

I'll hold off judgment till training camp starts, but the fact this is even a conversation, and that weird cryptic tweet from Mo, does not bode well.

Mo has missed voluntary OTA's to make a statement.
Today his agent said that whether or not Mo attends mandatory practices is still undetermined.
Mo is in the final year of his deal and is trying to make a point. I think he's made his point but I also think he'll be at the required practices for two reasons, 1. There are financial penalties to him for missing those (I think $60K) and, 2. I don't think he wants to turn the situation toxic....I think he wanted to make a point and communicate his displeasure to try to move a deal along. He's now made that point. Any doubt that Mo wants a deal and wants one soon is gone. He's shown the Jets just how important that is to him. Let's see if it's important to the Jets.
