You will be disappointed. I was disappointed last year when I was proved right that a career journeyman bum would fall flat on his face with the opportunity of a lifetime starin him square in the face. Now we are sat here wondering if our saviour will sign for 8 mil a year for another guaranteed no playoff season if he starts. Meanwhile Jill's fans where rollin laughin because thy have seen the story before. You Fitz apologist got proved wrong last year. Case closed. Best offense Jets have ever seen. Let's take a few steps back to pure shit and pick sixes.

Ryan Fitzpatrick should be a Jet next year. He deserves a raise. And he deserves to be the starter going into the season. But overpaying him to stay could be catastrophic. Could we all imagine Geno or Petty outplaying him and taking the job from him, with him on the bench with a $12mil salary? Big Mac must to convince Fitz to accept a well below market value contract, with incentives, or else it's see ya.

I got news for ya, Bingo...the Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams, etc sure as hell aren't the Titans, Redskins and Browns. I don't just see Fitzy getting ravaged by those defenses...I totally expect it. Fitz has been the very definition of a career journeyman over his 11 year career. I'm not just going to let last years effort cloud my memory. And if the Jets keep both Mo and Fitz...they most likely aren't going to have the resources to fix the OL. And Macc and Co. would have to be complete fucking morons to put all of their eggs into the proverbial Petty basket. How many 4th round projects at QB turn into anything more than career backups? Go ahead...I'll wait.

There ya go Touchable..... I could post youtube highlights of Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf that would blow your tits right out of the water. It's certainly possible that he could turn into something...but I'm definitely not banking on it. And I'm a Petty fan.

Yup. People still don't seem to get it though. That's how much it cost for a semi-established, kinda-sorta-OK level starting QB.

That's how much it cost for a semi-established, kinda-sorta-OK level starting QB. 26 year old w/ upside who did reasonably well and has solid upside v. 34 year old who has likely peaked and melted down in multiple important games last season. HUGE difference. For the record I would not go higher than 8 million for Fitz. Maybe 10 if we are not losing one of our good players over it.

I honestly feel like it will cost between 10-14M to keep Fitz.

I think he needs the Jets just as much. His situation here is perfect for him. He will get a 2 year 16 mil offer from the Jets and take it me thinks.
