Richardson didn't exactly agree with his coach's sentiment.
"I'm proven, honestly," he said. "I just have to get more stats. It's my contract year."
What an asshole.

Really really. Because he passed on someone? You know what. You got me. AWESOME pick. Couldn't even took a snap on a shitbag team, but that was the plan all along. Right? That's what you do with high draft picks in the NFL. You redshirt them. There were about 200 guys he passed on but still, awesome pick. _ lol. Was a simple question. I don't see how he "fucked up" by picking a QB with the 2nd pick. I thought maybe you thought we missed out on a guy by taking him but looking at the guys who went after him...eh. I'd rather they take a shot at a QB. But I get it, we could've drafted him much later, so you're all upset. But we haven't even seen him play yet sooooo..... If it's a shitbag team, why would you want to throw your rookie out there for a few games? Listen to the wise Jay Cutler, yes it's Cutler but it makes sense... "If it's going downhill, I don't really see any reason to play the kid," Cutler said, via CSN Chicago. "I'm sure there's going to be a lot of people calling for his name, because you draft him at No. 2 and draft him for a reason, and that's to play football and win games. But if you look at a lot of quarterbacks throughout this league, until you've got some people around you, some pieces around you, it's hard to win football games in this league as a quarterback. "If it's going downhill, there's no way I'm playing him. For what? So he can go out there and take a beating and he can get off to a rough start as an NFL quarterback?"
Hell, I don't think it even did much for Petty going out there. He took a beating and I can't say I feel confident about him.

our qb of the future is still in college you delusional herps. get it alreaty I'm not saying otherwise. I love Falk and Darnold looks like the real deal. Allen could be great and if Rosen wasn't such a doosh he could also be a stud. Rudolph could be good too. McGagnan fucked up drafting Hack. A positive puff piece in May doesn't change that. Dudes need to shit on Petty because they think it somehow bolsters their hope that Hack is good. He's not. Petty may not be the answer but he's better than Hack. 2018 is the year is the QB. _ Eh. How so?

Famed Jets hater Michael Lombardi (whose son is now on the Jets staff) is reporting some positive stuff about Hackenberg (hey, it's slow around here at this time of year): What is he reporting? Is he showing more accuracy and better footwork in the offseason? What this based on? The Jets haven't had a practice since last December. Is this more pablum about how Hack says he feels he's improving? Has more confidence? Whilst wearing shirts and shells? Honestly, what the fuck had happened since last year where he never took one fucking snap until now that is "positive"? I may be a dick but I'm not an idiot. There is NOTHING that has transpired in the past week or month or 4 months that could be deemed as truly positive with respect to Hacks ability to play competently as an NFL QB. _ That's the attitude! But no really, he's reporting nothing pretty much. All they're doing is discussing having confidence in your second year as a player. And that nobody knows anything, unless you were there at practice watching him.

What should he do? Just curious what should be done after a guy has been suspended for 2-4 games already? Suspend him for an extra game? Cut him? You cut them. Get them off your roster. Don't preach to us about character and then have a roster full of guys who are going to be suspended and do nothing about it. At some point you need to send a message. Meh, I don't see PED suspensions as having bad character. But Robbie Anderson's situation, if true, is the worst of the bunch (getting arrested for acting like a f'n idiot). That's bad judgement and bad character.

What's that 5 guys now that could be suspended to start the season? When is MacCagnan or Bowles going to hold someone accountable? It's becoming a total joke, Mac preaches character and doesn't want to touch guys like Dalvin Cook ( you know guys with actual talent) yet has a roster full of guys who are going to be suspended to start the year. Total hypocrisy. What should he do? Just curious what should be done after a guy has been suspended for 2-4 games already? Suspend him for an extra game? Cut him?

Well, that did not paste in very well. Stewart: 18 Hansen: 6 leggett: 49 Maye: 26 Wide receivers are allowed to wear single-digit numbers? Hansen does what Hansen wants. Also they can change before the season still...

Yep. Bowles and Mac are sticking around. Bowles would need to completely fuck it up to be gone
Love reading that. This team is finally getting it. I'm pretty sure it's Mac that's smacked some sense into Woody.

Its pretty ugly around here. Apparently Trubisky got booed by the crowd at the United Center when he was introduced before the game. Also, on draft night, the Bears invited Mike Glennon to their Draft Party at Soldier Field. He was in the Club Level mingling with fans when he found out -- same time as the fans, that the Bears were selecting Trubisky. Apparently Glennon is not a real happy Bear right now. The only good thing is, is that they probably will not be looking for a QB in next year's draft. They're invested in Mitchell for at least two years. Likewise the Texans are probably out of the QB market next year due to their move up and giving away draft picks. That means we've got SF, possibly Cleveland, possibly Buffalo, possibly the Rams, possibly Arizona and maybe the Vikings who could be looking for QBs next year. Did I miss anyone? Jaguars? Redskins if they lose Cousins maybe? I would think whoever gets Cousins and Garrapaolo would be out, if they leave.

At most I see 4 wins. Jags, Browns, Dolphins, and maybe Chargers.
But those could very well go the other way. Those are just ones we stand a chance with the other team screwing up worse.

Success is being in every game. Not getting blown out and seeing effort on every down. I wanna see the passion of a young team but expect loses because of inexperience. For one of the QBs to make us not think about drafting one, we gotta see 60 or above completion percentage. And just winning us games. It will be very noticeable. Average play won't do it. I full expect Mac to be back. He'll get his chance at drafting his QB next year if Hack fails and then go from there. I agree with this but let's be clear about Macc drafting "his QB." He already has two. In fact, he traded to move up for one (Petty) and used a valuable 2nd round pick for his other QB (Hackenberg). He was also in position to draft a QB this year and had his choice of any QB save one (Trubisky who went #2). Without needing to trade Maccagnan could have taken at #6 a guy who the Chiefs traded up to pick at #10 (Mahomes), or he could have taken Watson. If I'm the owner of the Jets I have to look at Macc and evaluate his QB approach based on those facts. He's drafted two QBs and, if actions speak louder than words, he believes those guys are both better prospects than taking ANY OTHER QB than Trubisky in this Draft. That says a LOT. I could argue that one approach would have been to select Mahomes and cut Petty. That strategy would be to let both Hack and Mahomes learn behind an experienced veteran in McCown who has leadership qualities and mentoring abilities. No, I'm not saying the Jets SHOULD have done that. They 100% did the correct thing in taking the best player in the Draft in Jamal Adams. But when it comes to QBs you have to look at the actions of the GM and see where he has placed his bets. Maccagnan has told us that Hack and Petty are better prospects than DeShaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. AND, the Jets have had 1-2 years to evaluate Petty and Hack already so, other than the usual risk of taking a draft pick, he made an informed decision based on what he knows about the quality of his QB depth chart. They did do the right thing. None of those guys are plug and play qbs. So roll with who you have, build your roster and if your unknown QB fails, go after one next year who are considered more of day 1 starters.. It's hard not to peak into next year but it's obvious with the crop of qbs coming out. I'm sure SF said the same thing except they know they'll be very much in play for Cousins as well. I just wish Mac acquired earlier picks next year.
