Would love Culliver. Then just get Cro back and we're in MUCH better shape.

Build around QB if you have to. Double dip on the OT market and fix it for the long term, find a dynamic RB in the draft and get a veteran TE. Can't just waive the white flag because the FA QB market blows goats.

He is the same player Geno is if you extrapolate his numbers He's a solid veteran backup who had his best season under Gailey. I'm not sure what else you can reasonably expect from this QB market. Precisely. Just Geno insurance. And if necessary, Mariota insurance.

He's not going to set the world on fire, but he's done well in CGs offense. At the very least, if geno can't hack it we have an actual qb to throw out there. Would prefer Moore but I'd be fine with Fitz.

There needs to be a veteran alternative to Geno. And that's even if you bring in a young Mariota. There is no guarantee that geno will pick up the offense in TC. Having Fitz or a matt Moore is important for this team.

I'd bring in a veteran a la Gresham or Owen Daniels and draft Jesse James out of Penn State. Need to get a vet presence to solidify the position and light a fire under Jace. James doesn't have great hands, but he's a plus blocker with a good motor . Best of all, he could be had with a 6 or 7.

You're absolutely right, Hawkeye. Unfortunately the media (and therefore the SOJ fans) will be on the warpath if the Jets go defense again. I'd still not be a fan of a Mariota selection, but Fowler or Beasley would be more than fine with me.

Yeah I was thinking of an Owen Daniels or Jermaine Gresham type. An older vet guy who can hopefully help Amaro along a bit.

Free agent signings should be on the D side of the ball (CB FS OLB) and O line (G maybe even 2 preferably younger than 28). The draft needs to be top heavy at O skill positions. 2 of the first 3 picks should be RB and WR with the other pick being the BPA especially in the first round where the jets would be better off trading down than reaching for a WR or RB. Agree. Ideally, I'd like to see TWO CB's and a FS signed along with a G (Iupati in a perfect world).

Well good. All of the dolts who were protesting Vick needed something to get upset about.

Love the`Bowles hire. Gailey is a good offensive mind, albeit likely to be panned by pretty much all of the local media. I want to see who gets set up as DC, but this is a good day. Credit to Woody for seeing what he wanted and acting quickly.
