-Pryor - Mangold - Richardson Hope none of these are serious esp. the last two getting hurt in garbage time i wouldn't exactly call it garbage time. it was late but i'm sure those guys thought they could still win and were playing. pryor could be tough. mangold has a backup. it didn't look like richardson got too injured. he'll be back next week with a soft cast or all taped up.

there is no doubt that the patsies get away with more holding and pass interence than any other team. there is no way the scrubs they have in the secondary can cover anyone. even on that dropped pass to cumberland the db was holding his arm down and not even looking at the ball. a number of times decker's arms got locked up with the db.
but if there was one reason why the jets didn't win it's because they didn't stop the patsies much on 3rd down. a few times it was 3rd and long and the patsies converted.
as for the offense, they didn't convert that crucial third down in the fourth that led to another marginal punt and decent return. i think they would have done better to let weatherford do a fake punt on 4th and 1. well win the next 2 and be 6-2 at the season halfway point. not a bad place to be and much better than expected. and fitz needs to launch a few long balls to smith or marshall.

if the jets maintain a really good defense for the next 3-4 seasons then who they actually have a qb isn't going to be a problem as long as the guy makes smart enough decisions and doesn't turn the ball over. fitz's greatest problem is arm strength. he seems to know when to hold the ball and he is just as responsible as the oline for his sack total. it shouldn't take much to replace him. the other thing is the way this team is structured the last thing they need is a qb with a super large ego. geno should've just paid ik.

I read this, think of Vernon Gholston .......... and smile. Then i think of Coples doing his pacman ghost imitation and i die a little inside. at least maudlin is looking pretty good. coples problem is that he's always going to be out of position especially since the jets can field wilk, harrison, richardson, williams, et al as their down linemen. and coples just isn't quick enough to go into coverage as a lb. of course some of this also due to his tendency to take plays off. he can be a very good player at times.

Posted an article last week about how I think pro football focus is too highly regarded and everyone uses them as the be all and end all, especially after Rodgers got the negative number. Still! Nice to see this... "First-round pick Leonard Williams (+8.6) has gradually raised his game over the first three weeks of the season, and put on an absolute show at Wembley Stadium. Williams more than doubled his pass rushing production for the season, racking up 10 pressures (four hits, six hurries) to go with two stops against the run in a dominating performance." Btw! Would anyone happen to have a gif of the play Leonard Williams completely destroyed one of the lineman and got to Tannehill and almost sacked him and knocked him down? I think it was on the 4th down pass or the 3rd down. It was a turnover on downs if that helps. He destroyed that guy and almost got a sack. I read this, think of Vernon Gholston .......... and smile. i don't know about that. gholston has left such a bad taste it's just very hard to think anything positive once his name is mentioned. but if you're refering to leo? yeah i get it. this is what a fifth pick in the draft is supposed to be. leo is way better than expected.

weatherford seemed to be a better punter than quigly when he was with the jets the last time. here's to hoping he still has a leg and will be ready enough. and here's to hoping the refs call the roughing the punter penalty on the patsies because you know they will be trying to block a kick or two.

Really? You want a tarnished legacy and a reputation like the Pats have? In 100 years the Pats asterisked run of titles will still be associated with underhanded machinations and cheating. We've waited this long, we can wait to do it right so we can hold out heads high and not have to resort to trolling the boards of other teams looking for affirmation. I'm proud I've stuck around this long and would absolutely not trade one ring for what the Pats have done to their own rep and the game in general. you can be self righteous- i want the Jets to win as ring. i'm no fan of the Pats but the fact is every team does the videotaping (opponents used to rent a room at the Sheraton and film the giants practices in the 80's) and all the other bullshit (the giants were accused of opening end zone gates of the old stadium if the wind would help their kicker or hurt the opponents kicker on field goals). there's a huge difference between gamemanship and cheating. the cheatriots took it to a whole new level. imagine. the only teams to be penalized for cheating are the patsies and the broncos. the common thread? well bellichicken was hc of the patsies and wittle joshy was hc of the broncos.

They know. They've always known. Without the cheating and lucking into a hit 6th round pick, we know, they know, and it eats at their dirty, black little souls. They really are the most awful, contemptible bunch of fair weather,front-running bandwagoners to ever belch out a slurred "TFB!!!!". They are the stench of piss mixed with hooker stank. They are the gawdammed new england patriots. And they suck. Every last stinking one of them. Pats have completely embarrassed and owned the Jets for the last fucking 15 years in a row. That is all. even you know better that that. the heads up record between the teams is nearly 50-50. if they owned them for the past 15 years it would be skewed horibly in the patsie favor. gfy.

Terrific news on Skrine and Williams. We will need good games from those guys. Interested to see what happens with Ridley. And who gets cut if he is activated - maybe the DE Bowen? skrine getting in will be huge, adding williams will be icing on the cake not to mention that mcdougal looked pretty good last sunday too. there will be no excuse for letting edelman and amendola getting very free.

Really want him out there I'll never understand the love that Powell gets and Stacy is just slow as balls. i agree ridley has some running skills and until of late stacy hasn't looked good enough to really give ivory a spell but is putting a known fumbler like him in a huge game worth the risk? i'm all for mixing things up and even pulling the old honorary captain thing but can he really help? are they going to defalte the balls like brady? if they deflate the balls fitz won't be able to throw the ball as far as he does now.

i remember staying up for that one. man the mnf colored commentators were really whooping up the doltfins. they had that moron taylor whooping it up on the sidelines in the 3rd quarter. it must have been really something in that locker room after the game. it's too bad groh played it too conservative when they played detroit later that season and got beat 6-3 or some other baseball score.

i think 12-4 is achievable. the division will need at least one win against the patsies. hopefully they'll get two. and it will mean they stay injury free and they continue to play 60 minutes each game. there is just too much season left to even start thinking playoffs though. the jets never seem to be able to stand prosperity. i still remember 85 when they started 10-1 and finished 10-6. 12-4? ? You sound like that complete dumbass RahRah. In their 55 years existence, the Jets have won 12 games a whopping 1 time. This year will not be the 2nd. coming from you it means so much. gfy.
