Say what you want about him, but Chip moves as quickly as his offense.

Thought this deserved it's own thread since cap discussions have been spread out over like 3-4 threads. Current cap (not setting aside around $6M for the draft and not including Brewer, Hilliard, Lattimore, and Ridley cap hits): $8.4M Current cap (setting aside around $6M for the draft and still not including Brewer, Hilliard, Lattimore, and Ridley cap hits): $2.3M Estimated left over cap: $8.4M - (Brewer, Hilliard, Lattimore, and Ridley cap hits) Link: www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/cap/EDITED: 4/13/15 @ 12:35 PM Now reflects all signings except Brewer, Hilliard, Lattimore, and Ridley

While I'm loving this I'm a little confused what exactly we're going to be doing at safety. As it stands right now we have: SS: Pryor and Rontez Miles (have to assume Miles will be cut at this point IMO) FS: Jarrett and Antonio Allen (again, have to assume he moves back from CB at this point) Who is moving where to make room for who? Are we just going to have that much depth? Miles would get cut IMO. 4 Safeties: SS: Pryor and (Gilchrist), FS: Jarrett and Allen 6 Corners: Revis, (Cro), Skrine, Milliner, McDougle and Williams So 10 DBs total possibly (8 or 9 total if we can't sign Cro and/or Gilchrist) That's great depth at 2 positions that were considered to be our weakest.

For a late round pick shit I would take the Harvard grad We got him for a 7th next year that could turn into a 6th. So hell yeah this was a good deal.

Interesting thought. So many young guys walking out the door.

When was the last time we had a QB with a 63% completion rate with a better than 2 to 1 to to int ratio? Sign me up for those numbers! Agreed. 2,483 yds, 17 TDs and 8 INTs in 10.5 games? I'll take those numbers over anything we've seen from a Jets QB recently.

Isn't that the same as what Skrine got? Essentially. Skrine got 4/$25M = $6.25M per year avg. Cro goes on and on about wanting to come back to NY. Played for $3.5M last year and now he's bitching about $5.5 - $6M not being enough? To play in a system he knows, with Revis on the other side and where he wants to be in NY? He's lost his mind if he thinks he's getting more elsewhere, IMO. I say make him wait and sign him after the draft for even less.

Good. Screw the fish. Hope they get fined and lose the draft pick(s).
Tanny becoming head honcho over there is the best thing that could've happened to everyone else in the AFC East. Football czar indeed.

I'll start the speculation. Perhaps he's an avid weed fan ala Ricky Williams. This is crazy though... Willis (30), Locker (26), now Worilds (27)

That compensation was wrong. The second round pick in 2016 is conditional and depending how much Bradford plays may never be realized. It's still backwards. eagles should have been giving up picks to the Rams. They did. Eagles gave up Foles, 4th in 2015 and a conditional 2nd in 2016 Rams gave up Bradford and a 5th in 2015. I think the Rams did really well. They unloaded an often injured Bradford who was due $12M (I think) and in return got Foles (a better QB IMO at $1.3M) and picked up a 4th this year and and a conditional 2nd next year for a 5th this year.

I definitely think if someone doesn't fleece Chip first and if Mariotta doesn't get taken before 6, we move down to 20, get a bunch of picks (w/ or w/o Bradford) and go OL. Well.. Interesting. Same guy 3 hours ago quoted Bill Polian as saying more to come from Kelly and gang. Implying Bradford/Foles deal is probably a three team deal with Kelly looking to use Bradford as trade bait and move up in the draft for Mariotta. All kinds of info, smokescreens, rumors flying around during the offseason.

Also just thinking about the draft. I don't think a starting RT is entirely out of the question for the Jets at 6. Unless Mariota falls and they love him. We'd should to trade back then. There really isn't a tackle worth the #6 pick in this draft, and picking up an extra 2nd round pick would be pretty nice. I definitely think if someone doesn't fleece Chip first and if Mariotta doesn't get taken before 6, we move down to 20, get a bunch of picks (w/ or w/o Bradford) and go OL.

If Darrelle Revis plays out his new contract with the #Jets, he’ll have earned $155,199,500 in total, which is a lot, per sources. Yup. Realistically $133M because I doubt he plays out the last two years of this contract

LOL. What a bunch of whiny assclowns. Goodsell and Woody best friends? No mention of butt-buddies Kraft and Goodsell partying together & constant cheating on their part, but Woody's comment is "the biggest tampering case ever."
