Those numbers don't factor in Carpenter, Skrine and Powell cap hits yet. EDIT: Powell now factored in. $22M before Carpenter and Skrine cap hits. We probably have between $11M - $13M left (w/ rookies and those 2 factored in).

No way. They're trying to get Philly's picks and possibly Bradford with that boldface lie.

Sams going to ten for the 2nd pick Very possible. Philly's going to pay out the nose though. I think the Jets might be the other team. Bradford and a bunch of picks to the Jets for #6 (Jets go OL at 20) unless the Titans are really willing to take Mariotta. I still think they go defense, but they might bluff to make Chip put all his chips in.

I frankly don't like having that much $ tied up in the corner position (for one guy) . I'd be happy with Cro, Culliver, Skrine, McDougal and Milliner and Marcus Williams and Phillip Adams. I'd rather get a FS and spend big on the Oline. I agree with you that I don't like $16M/per year tied up in one guy who's not a franchise QB either. It will present a problem when we have to re-sign Wilkerson, Richardson and Snacks. But what's done is done and I'm glad the secondary is no longer an issue.

Revis makes the team better pure and simple. But fuck him as a person for going up north hes a whore. Its why i bought the cromartie jersey like a fucking asshole. Fucked 2 timesYou might not be SOL just yet. New tweet in another thread says Jets not done yet, want to close Cromartie. Don't have twatter and don't know how to repost the tweet from the other thread. It always messes up. newyorkjetshampur.com/thread/2098/jets-free-agent-rumors-reports?page=15

Thank you. Figuring out the numbers are tough. I don't understand how we were at $48M then cut Harvin to gain $10.5 ($58.5) - $16M Revis - $7.5M Marshall - $7M Harris = $30.5M $58.5 M- $30.5M = $28M before factoring in everyone else. I don't see where OTC is coming up with the extra $2M... unless we cut some other guys I was unaware of. I think there's other cap incentives that come and go with a lot of these moves - more than just the base numbers The site you posted in another thread lays it out pretty well. There were a bunch of guys counting $435,000 each against the cap that I guess were cut to free up more room and explains the extra $2M? www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/cap/It looks like we're at $30M (like choon328 said) - $6M for the rookies - (Carpenter, Skrine, Powell) = probably around $13M - $15M left?

We were at $58M (if you count the Harvin release) - $16M Revis - $ 7.5M Marshall - $ 5M Carpenter - $ 6.25M Skrine - $ 7M Harris - $ ?M Powell - $ 5M Rookies I think we're at $11.25M minus whatever Powell's cap hit is We're at $30 million with Revis, Marshall, Harris contract factored in according to Over the cap. Take $8-$9 million off for Carpenter, Skrine and Powell (Carpenter and Skrine are probably back loaded as far as base salary goes). That leaves us with $21 million minus $6 million for the draft. We can add a bunch of good players if we structure them correctly. Thank you. Figuring out the numbers are tough. So without knowing the exact details of the Skrine and Carpenter deals for this year... We're currently sitting on $30,347,468 in cap space remaining Add in those two and we're still probably hovering over $20 mil We were at $58M (if you count the Harvin release) - $16M Revis - $ 7.5M Marshall - $ 5M Carpenter - $ 6.25M Skrine - $ 7M Harris - $ ?M Powell - $ 5M Rookies I think we're at $11.25M minus whatever Powell's cap hit is

Fuck, it's official. Harvin is no more. McCangan better sign Revis or make another splash or two in order to make this worth it. Otherwise, we are releasing good players and not doing anything to replace their value. Reminds me of another GM who very recently managed the Jets... Did you miss the part where we traded for Brandon Marshall? The guy is a troll. Just ignore. Everything the Jets do is doom and gloom. Still refers to the Jets as a circus. Why he hasn't been at least sent to Hampurgatory already is beyond me.

But does he do the stupid celebration afterwards?? I like the Skrine signing a lot. Solid, low cost guy. Day 1 starter in our secondary Not sure I would call 4 year / $25 mil ($13 guaranteed) a low cost deal. He is and upgrade from Wilson, though -- and he had better be solid at that price. Didn't know it was that much, but $6.25M/yr. for a guy that can play slot and outside as a number 2 sounds like a god deal to me.

Got this from someone close to 80: "Dre on owners private jet headed to Indy. He called Gore & they agreed both to Indy. Philly wanted both" That's crazy if true. Indy just upgraded their WR and RB positions. Makes that offense even stronger. Now they can draft/sign all defense.

Outside of Revis - who's the best CB on that list? Still available? Culliver, IMO.
